What Its Really Like Being a Sydney Juggler Hint Its Not All Balls in the Air

When people hear I’m a professional juggler, I usually get one of two reactions:
“Wow, that’s amazing!”
or
“Oh… so what’s your real job?”

Here’s the truth. Being a Sydney juggler means juggling a lot more than just balls. I juggle bookings, flight schedules, time zones, broken props, costume malfunctions, and sometimes, my own mental health. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

But it hasn’t always been easy.

From Being Bullied to Running Away With the Circus (Literally)

I didn’t exactly grow up as the cool kid. I got picked on a lot. I was too different, too loud, and too interested in spinning things around and falling over on purpose. But the moment I discovered circus skills, I found something magical. I found focus, creativity, community, and confidence.

And eventually, I found a career.

I really did run away and join the circus. That decision changed everything. It took me around the world, onto stages I never imagined, and into rooms where laughter mattered more than job titles.

Then Came the Pandemic

Like most circus performers in Sydney, my calendar was full one week and completely wiped clean the next. The pandemic shut down gigs, cruise contracts, festivals, and even the idea of performing live. It was gutting.

Instead of giving up, I stood up. I ended up at Parliament House, advocating for the arts, fighting for performers, and doing my best to keep the creative world alive when the stages went dark. It wasn’t glamorous, but it mattered.

When things finally reopened, I came back with even more fire in my juggling hands. Because now, every single show feels like a privilege.

So What Do I Actually Do?

In short, I make people laugh.

I perform a high-energy, chaos-filled comedy juggling show that blends circus skills, physical comedy, audience interaction, and good old-fashioned fun.

But more than that, I know how to read a room, adapt to different crowds, and bring a sense of play to every kind of event. I have performed at black-tie corporate galas, 2,000-seat cruise ship theatres, family festivals, and private events across Sydney and beyond.

I’m not just a guy who throws things. I’m a circus entertainer who turns a corporate crowd into a room full of people genuinely enjoying the moment. I know how to warm up a cold audience, get them laughing, and create memories that last.

Why Hiring a Circus Performer Actually Makes Sense

People often assume circus acts are only for kids. But more and more event planners are realising that circus performers in Sydney bring something truly unique to any occasion. Energy, surprise, laughter, and real skill that does not rely on fancy screens or overproduced gimmicks.

Plus, it is universal. You don’t need to speak a certain language or work in a particular industry to enjoy a well-timed juggling gag, a plate that nearly takes out the MC, or a surprise finale that somehow lands just right.

When you hire me, you are not just hiring a juggler. You are hiring a comedy act, a host, and a performer who genuinely knows how to connect with your audience.

Let’s make your event unforgettable.
